Electric Cargo Tricycle Wholesale RFQ Checklist
A quotation checklist for importers comparing electric cargo tricycle suppliers, configurations, packing, spare parts and commercial terms.
Describe the transport job before requesting a price
A useful wholesale quotation begins with the work rather than a generic model name. State what the vehicle will carry, the normal and occasional load, daily distance, road surface, maximum gradient, stop frequency and operating environment. Photos of the cargo and route can reduce assumptions.
- Cargo type, dimensions and typical weight
- Daily route, stops and steepest gradient
- Paved, unpaved or mixed road surface
- Working hours, weather exposure and charging location
Use one configuration sheet for every supplier
Ask each supplier to quote against the same body dimensions, payload requirement, battery type and rated capacity, motor and controller, charger input, tyres, brakes, lighting, cab or windscreen and accessories. A clear comparison table is more useful than comparing only the total price.
Define the cargo body and loading method
Open beds suit general cargo, farm produce and crates. Tipping bodies can reduce manual unloading for loose materials. Enclosed boxes protect parcels and packaged goods. Confirm internal and external dimensions, side-panel or door arrangement, floor, latches, lifting function where applicable and branding requirements.
Confirm what the wholesale price includes
Ask the quotation to separate the vehicle, charger, accessories, spare parts, packing, inland transport and any optional services. Record the currency, trade term, named place or port, validity period, payment stages and estimated production schedule. Freight and destination charges should be identified rather than assumed.
Plan packing, loading and battery shipment early
Vehicle dimensions, assembly state and protective packing affect container planning and destination labour. Ask for the proposed packing method, packed dimensions, unit quantity per shipment and handling requirements. The importer and logistics provider should confirm the documents and conditions that apply to the actual battery being shipped.
Include spare parts and inspection in the order scope
Request a recommended spare-parts list based on order quantity and duty cycle, with part names, numbers and quantities. Define how configuration, workmanship, functions, labels, accessories and packing will be approved before shipment, and how any nonconformity will be corrected and rechecked.
Send a complete RFQ that suppliers can answer clearly
Combine the application, route, load, quantity, destination, configuration, optional items, packing, spare parts, inspection and commercial requirements in one document. Ask the supplier to mark every exception or alternative instead of silently changing the requested specification.
What information should be included in an electric cargo tricycle wholesale RFQ?
Include the intended use, cargo and payload, route conditions, daily distance, body type, charging supply, quantity, destination port, requested trade term and any destination requirements already confirmed by the importer.
Why can two electric cargo tricycle quotations have very different prices?
The model name may hide differences in body dimensions, frame, battery, motor, controller, charger, tyres, brakes, accessories, spare parts, packing and commercial scope. Compare the written configuration and included items line by line.
Should a wholesale buyer request a sample before a larger order?
The appropriate approval process depends on order size and risk. Buyers can discuss a sample, pre-production confirmation, approved reference unit or third-party inspection and record the agreed process in the purchase documents.
What destination information does the supplier need?
Provide the country and destination port, local charging voltage and plug, planned use, packing constraints and any confirmed rules for import, road use, registration, labels or battery transport that affect the order.
